Ethics and culture
Fundamental values are culturally determined and vary from country to country and often form the basis of the underlying assumptions about what is right and wrong, just and desirable. Such differences may have important consequences when living or working abroad, in that one can find oneself in situations where one feels compelled to compromise own values. Such situations can arise unexpectedly and leave little time for reflection before a response must be given. The ASC Ethics and Culture course participants are given tools that can be used to evaluate a situation and move forward to an optimal solution.
