Understanding cultural dimensions
There are many major differences in culture between countries. Generally you work across a range of cultures and it is then useful to be able to focus on the dominate differences . Scientists, Geert Hofstede, Edward T. Hall, Fons Trompenaars and Charles Hampden-Turner have developed cultural dimensions to gather common themes and have mapped different cultures on these axes. By understanding the current axes, where you yourself are on them, and what other cultures are like, you can take the next step towards finding solutions that take advantage of the strengths of the different cultures.
The ASC course on cultural dimensions covers dimensions that are most relevant for the group, with discussion on how to identify good solutions.
The course is held on site at your company and is suitable for anyone working with others from different cultures. Please contact us for more information |
